My name is Niclas Gottlieb, and I have lived a life like few others
My lectures are for those of you seeking a vibrant and energy-filled experience, rooted in real events and lessons from my life and entrepreneurial journey. Sit back, relax, and ride along in the whirlwind that rushes past your ears
I've spent 8 years abroad across 60 countries and built companies in AI, IT, finance, sports, e-commerce, real estate, legal services, and management consulting. I have no formal college education, yet I’ve worked for one of Sweden's largest law firms and served as the Swedish CEO for the Nordic region's leading business law firm.
I launched my first business at 15, flew planes in Florida at 16, worked around the clock, and spent years in hammocks around the world. I've reached the highest peaks, achieved near-impossible feats, and led in my field.
I’ve experienced imposter syndrome, been totally worn down, depressed, exhausted, overrun, left out, and abandoned. I’ve endured over 5,000 cluster headaches, known as one of the most severe pain conditions a person can experience.
I’ve multiplied revenue and staff tenfold in just three years by doing the exact opposite of what everyone else does. I've created new opportunities and business models in some of the world's most traditional industries.
I know I’ve achieved a lot, yet I never feel I’ve succeeded at anything. My inner critic is relentless, never satisfied, pushing me hard — sometimes even others.
I’ve come further than most, yet I am far from done or whole. I’ve loved, but I struggle to feel loved. My greatest fear is to be left, alone and abandoned.
I was one of the first in the world to embrace the first-mover advantage, building an online shop for teeth whitening products that became a global success. But it also taught me how wrong I was and what really matters.
I have survived three terrorist attacks and I have saved peoples lives
I’ve had to tell my parents that my younger brother had died in a motorcycle accident. I’ve sat on bus rooftops with chickens and goats, been arrested in closed military dictatorships, and flown by private jet to the world’s most luxurious resorts. I’ve eaten everything from cockroaches and snakes to bluefish and Russian caviar.
I’ve dated Miss Universe and fashion models. I was a model myself, yet I’ve never been more than average-looking or the popular guy at school. I’ve met some of the world’s most famous and successful people and shared a bench with the homeless. I’ve visited prisoners in Bangkok Hilton and mingled with royalty.
I am often fearless and terrified at the same time. I’ve always been at both extremes but rarely in between and never nothing. I’ve wanted to live and wanted to escape life. I barely know what’s up or down anymore, and I don’t remember half of what I’ve experienced.
When you expose yourself to life, things happen — a lot of things. My life is best described as a mix between the book The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, but told with the raw, honest touch of James Ellroy. It’s where adventure meets reality and the unlikely meets the possible, twisted into a tangled web of stories.
My lectures are about my private life and entrepreneurial experiences, the highs and the lows, the good and the bad!
It won’t be refined or simply beautiful or heavy. It will always be direct, honest, open, vulnerable, genuine, and the naked truth as it is and has been for me.
I won’t be seeking validation for my successes or sympathy for my setbacks. I will give my all and answer every question with 100% honesty.
I’ll be scared, nervous, and doubting myself right before I stand in front of you, but I’ll overcome that and feel invincible by the end. I’ll be exhausted and drained, yet pumped with adrenaline and energy when it’s over.
I average a 9 out of 10 in feedback for my lectures, which I see as just “okay.” If I get a 7 from someone, my confidence drops, and if I score lower, I just want to quit.
But I get up and keep going, not fully understanding why. I am terrified of speaking in front of people, yet here I am. That’s just how I am and have always been.
